Saypile
Say it badly. It comes out right.
Hold a key, talk, let go. Clean text lands wherever your cursor is. Everything runs on your Mac.
One-time macOS prompt
Saypile isn't notarised by Apple yet, so macOS asks you to confirm the first time you open it. The prompt is about the Apple signature, not about anything the app does. A signed version is coming.
Version 0.1.0 · 27 MB · Apple Silicon (M1 or later) only · macOS 11+
Install in 2 minutes
- 1
Download
Get the DMG below.
- 2
Drag to Applications
Open the DMG and drag Saypile into your Applications folder.
- 3
Open it once
Open Saypile. macOS says it can't verify the app. Click Done, not Move to Bin.
- 4
Allow it
Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security. Scroll to Security, find "Saypile was blocked" and click Open Anyway. Enter your password, then click Open.
- 5
Grant permissions
When Saypile asks, allow Microphone (to hear you) and Accessibility (to type into other apps).
You only do steps 3 and 4 once.
Prefer Terminal?
After step 2, run this instead of steps 3 and 4:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Saypile.appFirst run
Saypile downloads its speech and clean-up models the first time it starts (a few hundred MB). After that it works offline.
